YOUR LEGACY?

Buying your first business?

They changed their lives. Are you next?

“I’m really excited about the fact that I found the exit school, and that it really did give me the answers and the pieces to the puzzle that have really been frustrating me for years. The biggest thing I learned is that you can grow your income through acquisitions better than you can through corporate America.”

“What I really liked about this course was how much actually goes into evaluating and buying a business. This course takes something that can feel complicated and overwhelming and breaks it down into manageable steps.”

“Anybody who wants to learn how to invest in businesses to build their wealth, anyone who wants to walk away from the rat race, and I would rather... let’s say you’ve had struggles with purchasing real estate or something like that, if you’ve had some trouble with other investments and you’re still trying to build your wealth, I think this is a good course to take because it offers an alternative to the normal ways that we’re taught to try and build wealth.”

“I would recommend this to people that are looking to either get out of their 9 to 5 or even if you have a 9 to 5, to keep going with that and then just have that extra business as another stream of income.”

“I was impressed with the level of integrity of everything I heard yesterday. So, for somebody who’s started a business and it didn’t do well, this might be what they might need to jump start to actually own and operate a business that will succeed.”

“The negotiation piece was really helpful. We had talked early on about like a four-way win where the buyer, the seller, the customers, and the employees all win, I think the negotiation with Bob really helped me understand how that’s possible and that you can really come out of that negotiation in a way that the pie is bigger than when it started.”

“I knew that if nothing really changed in my life, it’s pretty much stayed the same, I wouldn’t be ready for retirement in five or ten years, which is kind of my goal. Almost everybody I know that’s either looking for a way to retire or just a way to start building some generational wealth, my kids, my best friends, some of my colleagues that I know are all kind of in the same boat.”

“I had no idea that there was more than just traditional owning a business. There are lot of other ways to become involved in business ownership and that was a huge eye-opener for us.”
Eileen JohnsonExit School Graduate
“The biggest thing that I learned is that buying a business is a team sport. It’s not something that you can do by yourself and if you do do it by yourself, it’s going to come at a huge cost, and you’ll probably end up still with a team of people that you acquired one mistake at a time.”

I Didn’t Want to Choose Between Family and Success. So I Built a Different Way.

For years, I thought I had figured out the secret to building a business around my life. I had a successful consulting practice, control over my schedule, and the flexibility to raise my five boys while doing work I loved. But eventually, I learned that there is a big difference between building a business that gives you flexibility and building one that gives you true freedom.

In my early 30s, I was a sales manager for a small consulting company. Over three years, I helped grow its annual revenue from $250,000 to $3 million. I built the sales team, developed the sales processes, and created five separate revenue streams. Then I was told I could choose one revenue stream to earn commissions on while the other four were handed off to other people.

It was a wake-up call. I realized I never wanted someone else to control my income or determine my growth potential again.
